Compound names, abbreviations, and common synonyms can vary between suppliers. Confirm the listed name matches the exact molecule you intend to research, and check whether the listing references a sequence, molecular formula, or CAS-adjacent identifier that lets you cross-check identity independently.
Listed amount and format
Note whether the quantity refers to peptide content per vial, total vial weight, or a pre-mixed concentration. Lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder and pre-reconstituted solution formats have different handling and storage requirements, so the format materially affects how the product should be used in a research setting.
Price and kit structure
Bundled kits often list a per-unit savings percentage against the single-unit price — worth verifying by dividing the kit price out yourself, since promotional math isn't always presented consistently across categories.
Stock status
"In stock," "ships within 24h," and "backorder" all imply different timelines. If a listing doesn't specify current availability, that's a reasonable pre-sale question to ask before paying.
Storage and quality notes
Look for a stated storage temperature, light sensitivity notes, and whether batch-specific purity documentation (HPLC/MS) is referenced or linked. A listing with none of this information gives you very little to evaluate the product against once it arrives.
